A mysterious group do these things to get inspired
2020 is the slowest year that flew by. Every day seems like a groundhog day. You deserve to take a break.
It has been a pleasant surprise that my poetry got featured in one anthology after the other. Some anthologies featuring my work will be out next year.
I am very grateful for Miriam, Samantha and Steve for your constant support. Looking forward to reading stunning poetry from Sandra, Karan, Lydia and Nicole. You never fail to deliver.
Download the year review template to reflect on the year and set goals for the coming year. I feel hopeful for 2021.
My favourite tools:
Vivaldi is a great alternative to Google Chrome. It has some unique features, such as taking notes on the side of the browser and shortcut to your favourite sites. It requires almost no time to get used to it since it looks very similar to Google Chrome.
I stopped using Google search and used Startpage or DuckDuckGo to search for anything. Use these tools to stop companies from tracking your history and information in 2021 onwards.
Notion is getting better to help people organize their life. The team creates a product that people cannot live without. There are so many Notion videos on YouTube but Notion has their YouTube channel. Definitely worth looking into if you want to streamline your workflow.
My favourite music:
My top songs in 2020 were mostly from The xx, Dreamers Delight, Shallou and Yann Tiersen. Intro by The xx is a song that never fails to give me motivation. Comment your favourite songs from 2020 below. Looking to blast some new music in the new year.
My favourite movies:
I love everything Saoirse Ronan is in, especially Ammonite. Both Ronan and Winslet did a great job in it. Portrait of a Lady on Fire is very similar to Ammonite, both are period movies about the romance between the same sex.
20th century women shows you top-notch storytelling and did a perfect job of unfolding each character in the movie.
Paterson writes poetry and the movie shows the beauty of ordinary life. This film is no doubt my cup of tea. It is a weighted blanket for winter.
For more suggestions, these are Obama’s favourite movies and TV shows.
