Athletes and their Olympic-level fears
Winter Olympics never stop to fascinate me how athletes can adjust their mental state after a failed round in a three-round game. A lot of them got a low score in round 3 as they took the risk to perform a trick that they just learned not long ago. The fact that a person can flip in the air amazes me.
American downhill ski racer Breezy Johnson said, “anywhere on the course can turn into an injury trap, if not a death trap, really quick.”
Michael Dammert is the German freestyle snowboard coach and has a master’s degree in sports psychology. He called fear “your best friend and your biggest enemy.” Fear, the athletes said, is a balance. Too much can be debilitating. Too little can be worse.
Eileen Gu, 2022 Olympics gold medalist in freestyle skiing competitions, shared her journal entry before she competed with other incredible athletes. She also wrote her affirmations.

Affirmations
Affirmations are not what everyone does to get what they want. Some of them simply plan and act accordingly to reach their desire or goals. But it doesn’t hurt to try.
Why would I worry when I already have everything I desire?
What more could i ask for now that I already have everything?
Nothing feels better than knowing that my desires are promised.
I am calm because i know I am gonna get my desires no matter what.
I always get what i want because I never settle for less.
I recognise my own worth and value.
I love and accept every single part of myself.
I never settle for anything less than what I deserve and I deserve only the best.
I am naturally talented at all that I do.
I am immune to negativity and self doubt.
I am authentically myself at my rawest form.
I take actions daily that awaken my personal power.
I take care of my needs and well-being before anything else.
I honour and respect my values and boundaries.
I am confident in what I have to offer the world.
