School alienated me by virtue of its facts story / factory style, and the environment of education was different from how nature is, regarding spontaneous creativity and blooming flowers. Students are divided into two classifications: those who “Follow School Rules” and those students following “Squirrels!” I like your take on this.
Really enjoyed this letter especially about the lizard brain, what school is and is not and the quote from Seth Godin. These resonated with me and triggers my frustrated parts of my insides.
The lizard brain is a monster that I have to tame all the time. It is still a learning process for me to lean into my intuition more often. Bringing awareness and staying conscious is difficult but worth it.
