Work-rest-life integration
I am updating my own concept of work-life integration. It is becoming work-rest-life integration. The evolution of the concept would happen no matter what. As life gets busier, I need a framework to keep myself sane.
I have tried writing fiction on Saturdays. But routine makes it boring. So how can someone with a full-time job and a newsletter as side project finish her draft 0? I am winging it but let’s try it!
Priority after day job: Rest and creative stimulation, outlining and writing draft 0 and then chores come last
Write on weekends and whenever I have the energy to do so
Write a god damn outline
Try not to go to another totally different direction for the draft
When ideas come, drop them down but take time to think if they would fit the direction of the story
Schedule time for deep rest and solo artist date
Plan something exciting to prevent burnout before it gets me
